**Student Welfare Officer**
This exciting opportunity has wellbeing, risk assessment, administrative and student management components across both Senior School and Wadhurst. This role requires the capacity to work cooperatively with school management and communicate effectively with all members of the school community, including parents and professionals from external agencies.
**You will**:
- Development of proactive strategies, in consultation with Heads of School and other key staff, to ensure that student behavior is consistent with the Vision, Mission, Values and Principles of Melbourne Grammar School.
- Collaborate with the Head os House and Tutors to support student needs.
- Support and provide individual students with assistance and direction at a times of set back or psychological/emotional distress.
- Respond to adverse events and identify potential wellbeing, safety concerns and risks to students, staff and the broader community.
- Participate in policy development in areas such as student behavior, student management, restorative practices, and emerging pastoral issues.
- Serve as a member of the school’s Emergency Management Team.
