As the Manager, Credit Strategy you will work closely with the Senior Manager, Credit Strategy to execute the credit risk optimisation strategy for Great Southern Bank by developing strategies through credit risk models, automation tools and practices.

You will work with key partners and internal stakeholders to pro-actively manage critical quantitative models and tools used in the origination and management of the bank’s retail lending products (Home Loans, Credit Cards and Personal Loans) in a way that balances growth, customer experience and credit risk.

**You’ll make an impact by**:

- Developing and overseeing Credit Risk strategies to support the bank’s objectives with respect to customers, risk appetite, profitability and growth.
- Optimise end-to-end credit acquisitions including the use of scorecards, serviceability, business/system rules, lending origination tools, credit engines, and other automation tools.
- Maintaining and monitoring the data and reporting for our credit risk tools and provide succinct summaries to the executive and credit committees.
- Support ongoing management of the provision model, including reporting as well reviewing and validating the model remains fit for purpose.
- Support sustainable growth through reduced cost of decisioning and improving the risk-reward for new lending.

**Do things differently with us**

**To succeed in this role, you will have**:

- 5+ years’ experience in credit risk management roles within Financial Services
- Strong understanding of commonly used credit tools and decision engines and how to create the best value through their use
- Proficient with data extraction, manipulation, and analysis (DataBricks, SAS, SQL)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with the Australian market, regulations (APRA, ASIC, AFCA)
