**Job Description**:
The **Commercial Analyst** is responsible for sourcing, reviewing and interpreting qualitative and quantitative market data, trends and competitor analysis, to share meaningful and timely insights with the sales leadership team to help shape the overall commercial strategy.

You will be responsible for creating detailed business analysis to evaluate growth opportunities, produce ongoing commercial product performance reporting, assess processes, and deliver data-driven recommendations into the business to inform strategic commercial decisions.

**Your duties will include**:

- Lead analysis of financial, operating and industry metrics to drive insights into our business and external operating environment
- Assess the advertising impact of proposed business changes by producing detailed scenario analysis to identify advertising-related growth opportunity and risk
- Produce financial modelling and business cases to support key commercial initiatives
- Monitor, analyse and effectively disseminate, macro trends; review variety of industry sources (local and global) e.g. PWC reports, overlaid with internal data, and draw meaningful conclusions from trends
- Produce ongoing commercial product-level reporting, identifying patterns and key insights that inform future commercial product optimization decisions
- Monitor data quality metrics and ensure reporting is accurate and business needs are met
- Capture and document digital commercial requirements for key projects and provide input into future state design and processes
- Work with sales leadership team on non-BAU strategic initiatives such as projection modelling
- Actively input into revenue projections, in conjunction with sales leadership team and Sales Finance Partner
- Supply relevant market data to Chief Sales Officer for inclusion in board report as required
- Provide input into annual budgeting processes
- Provide support and insight into sales leaders in development of macro operating plans, strategic plans and other ad hoc analysis

**Qualifications**:

- Degree-qualified
- Proven analytical background with experience in the Media Advertising sector (TV and digital platforms)
- Highly numerate with the ability to analyze information and produce data-driven recommendations for important business decisions
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal, including proficiency in MS PowerPoint;
- Advanced modelling skills - ideally with Microsoft and Google tools
- Experience working with senior decision makers
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and in fluid environments
- Ability to work independently, proactively and manage own time
- Previous experience in a corporate strategy role or financial planning and analysis role would be advantageous
