Your key accountabilities
**The core capability requirements for this role are**:

- Assist in the development, design, implementation, review and/or maintenance of security and counter-terrorism programs, guidelines, and procedures. Design, develop, maintain, and monitor security and counter-terrorism related project plans, schedules, and other documents. Liaise, consult, and negotiate with other departmental and external stakeholder agencies on security and counter-terrorism issues. Provide administrative and secretariat support to security and counter-terrorism related governance structures, committees and/or working groups. Prepare advice to internal and external stakeholders regarding security, counterterrorism and national security matters. Provide advice to departmental managers and staff and/or external stakeholders on security and counter-terrorism issues and assist in developing relevant strategies and activities to mitigate security and counter-terrorism risk. Perform functional support duties within the State Police Operations Centre, or other structures established for management and response to security and counterterrorism incidents, or other emergencies as required.

Role Requirements
Mandatory
- Applicants must have an ability to obtain and maintain an NVL1 security classification. Note: This position requires Australian citizenship. The successful applicant/s will be required to undergo psychometric assessment, prior to appointment.

Other
- This position may involve driving of police vehicles. Duties may involve weekend and shift work. Shift penalties and overtime may apply. Occasional inter and intra state travel is a requirement of this position. Applicants are advised that whilst performing the duties of the position, they may be exposed to material (written, visual and audio) of a graphic and sensitive nature
