**About the role**

A great opportunity for a Payroll Team Leader to gain exposure in the healthcare industry in this 12-month fixed-term role. Collaborate closely with the Payroll Manager to manage the payroll function. Responsibilities include overseeing pay run processing, lodging statutory returns, administering salary packaging, and ensuring timely payment of superannuation and taxes. Always maintain strict adherence to internal controls and processes. Additionally, drive process improvements and propose strategies to streamline and enhance the payroll workflow, while consistently delivering exceptional customer service.***

**Key Accountabilities**
- **Processing I-MED payroll and managing employee files**: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for I-MED employees, ensuring all employee records are up-to-date and properly maintained.
- **Delivering high-level customer service**: Provide exceptional customer service to employees and stakeholders, addressing payroll-related inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- **Managing a team of Payroll Coordinators in the operational aspects of the organization**: Lead and supervise a team of Payroll Coordinators, ensuring they are effectively handling their responsibilities and supporting the overall payroll operations.
- **Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time**: Ensure that all payroll processes are completed with precision and within the designated timeframes, minimizing errors and delays.
- **Liaising with business partners and key stakeholders**: Communicate and collaborate with various business partners and stakeholders to ensure alignment and address any payroll-related concerns or requirements.
- **Engaging with team members and providing direction accordingly**: Foster a collaborative team environment by engaging with team members, offering guidance, and ensuring everyone is aligned with the team's goals and objectives.
- **Providing leadership, coaching, and support to ensure team efficiency**: Offer leadership and coaching to team members, helping them develop their skills and work efficiently to meet organizational goals.
- **Assisting in the implementation of new payroll systems**: Support the rollout and integration of new payroll systems, ensuring a smooth transition and effective adoption by the team.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Payroll Team Leader role either in a large accounting firm and/or a large corporate business.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processing experience in a complex environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comply with policies, procedures and instructions and maintain high level of professionalism.
- Great attitude and strong leadership skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and ensure the timely outcome of deliverables within a set time frame.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail and integrity.
- Experience working with Preceda and Kronos is highly regarded.
