This means you’ll be given the space to lean in and own the projects you’re on working within your disciplinary area, whilst having access to the wider design, technical and consulting team for specialist support, new perspectives, and to share learnings.

**Summary of the role**:
As a Digital Experience Design Consultant at XAM, you'll play a crucial role in translating business objectives, technology requirements, and human needs into accessible, validated, and impactful user experiences.

We're looking for a multifaceted designer with hands on experience across both UX and UI activities and a strong product design background and/or agency consulting experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Confidently work across multiple design engagements from research and discovery through to implementation and delivery.
- Engage with clients and multi-disciplinary teams as an advocate for human-centred design and best practices.
- Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders.
- Conduct user and in-market research, analyse results, and prioritise your findings to balance the business’s needs and the end user experience.
- Create wireframes, storyboards, navigational and information structures, and user flows to communicate and validate your ideas.
- Define and design components and build pattern libraries to enhance the product design process.
- Craft high-fidelity user interface designs that delight and empower users.
- Contribution to the life of the design team and wider company while staying current with the latest trends, methods, and best practices.

**About you**:

- You have 4+ years of experience working in-house, or in consulting/agency on digital products as a Product Designer, User Experience Designer, Visual Designer, or Interaction Designer.
- You are experienced working as part of a cross-functional product development team, including engineers, analysts, and product management.
- You are confident in planning and running user research, facilitating customer interviews, and synthesising results.
- You show strong skills in presenting concepts and design rationale to colleagues and stakeholders, communicating in a clear, concise, and articulate manner.
- You have an eye for detail and visual design and show a solid grasp of design principles, user experience best practices, device, and platform standards.
- You are competent in using contemporary design and prototyping tools like Figma, Sketch, XD, Invision, Flinto, Principle, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- You have a portfolio demonstrating proven experience designing digital products from research and discovery through to high-fidelity design, product launch, validation, and iteration planning.
- You show a desire to continually improve, expand and refine your design skills, taking pride in the delivery of user-centred design.
- You have a valid Australian work visa upon hire to be considered for this position.
