Hse Advisor

UGL have an opportunity for an experienced **HSE advisor** to join our site based team in Kwinana. You will be a part of a high peforming team that have been working on multiple projects to support our client upgrade and convert existing infrastructure of an old fossil fuel refinery into a renewable clean energy hub. This role will see you bring extensive industry experience on exciting scopes that has the potential to shape the future of energy.

**About the role**
- Induct all new staff to the site and provide ongoing training on Health, Safety and Environmental procedures
- Provide advice and support to the Site Operations Manager
- Provide Safety education and awareness levels that support effective safety management
- Conduct site induction training for all personnel
- Report all safety non-compliance to Site Operations Manager
- Facilitate Site Safety Committee and toolbox meeting topics
- Maintain and report safety performance statistics
- Foster a culture of inclusion, responsiveness, honesty and accountability Assessment of risks and hazards involved in tasks, and methods to manage the hazards to prevent incidents, injury and damage;
- Other duties as directed by the Site Operations Manager.
- Conduct onsite HES inductions & site orientations

**About You**

You will thrive on stepping up to a problem other couldn’t take on, or an opportunity that inspires new solutions. Ideally you will have:

- Demonstrated experience as a HSE advisor
- Certificate IV Occupational Health and Safety
- Proven commercial acumen
- Ability to build a strong team around you and invest in their growth
- Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment (Desirable);
- Having achieved a satisfactory level of technical skills/knowledge in job-related areas; demonstrate ability to keep abreast of current developments and trends in area of expertise
- Ability to manage and coordinate project teams accordingly, ensuring safe delivery of product in compliance with client and Company specifications
- Highly developed knowledge of OH&S legislation, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards
- Strong Major Hazard facility background
- Experience with Behavioural based safety programs would be desirable.

- Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment (Desirable)
