As the Principal Portfolio Performance Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the portfolio management capability of the Queensland Health Digital Portfolio. The Principal Portfolio Performance Analyst, regularly completes portfolio performance reports and analysis, identifies poor performance and recommends and implements pragmatic and actionable approaches to remediate poor performing initiatives. The position is also responsible for the delivery of key analytic deliverables and briefings within the team, and leads the registration of investment in the portfolio.

**As the Principal Portfolio Performance Analyst, you will**:

- Lead the registration and review of investments in the investment development pipeline and the management of these investments as they transition into delivery.
- Analyse, model and forecast investment and performance trends to support recommendations to improve portfolio performance.
- Manage, mine, combine and extract data to provide useful insights.
- Make continual improvements and implement new performance reporting including the production of dashboards.
- Deliver and lead the implementation of quality and timely deliverables that are assigned to this position on the Strategic Portfolio Office annual operational plan.
- Keep the Digital Investment Reporting Guideline, other Portfolio Performance and Analytics collateral and the Portfolio Performance and Analytics intranet page up to date.

Central to this role is a passion for analysis, and an demonstrate knowledge in:

- Experience and knowledge in critically analysing and visualising data using dashboards to derive clear conclusions and actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to improve investment pipeline management, performance management, reporting and data standards and analytics, and deliver these.
- Highly developed research, analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills, including the proven capacity to initiate appropriate strategic and operational responses to key issues affecting the investment pipeline and performance of the portfolio.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a diplomatic approach and ability to liaise and relate to a wide range of stakeholders including senior and executive stakeholders.
- Critically analysing datasets and portfolios/investments, and clearly briefing on findings and recommendations.
- Managing, analysing and visualising data with digital dashboard and analytical tools
- Training or experience in Portfolio, Programme or Project Management and;
- Whilst not mandatory, experience in relational databases(SQL) and Microsoft Power BI would be well regarded.
