Seeking Female Disability Support Worker

QSSS is on the hunt for a very unique Support Worker (or four) for a very unique Participant. This lovely 20 year old has moved up from Melbourne to Medium Term Accommodation in Eagleby to attend university at Griffith University at Southport.
She is big into creativity and making things - especially sewing which she has a natural talent in. She is also an avid gamer and enjoys living the life of a typical 20 year old. She loves her cat who gives her comfort so it really important that you are happy to be part of a cat lover’s life.
This incredible woman is a wheelchair user and does require assistance with her morning and afternoon routines which includes support in getting her sorted for the day ahead at university and the afternoon routine at the end of the day. She fatigues very easily and needs your support in some domestic tasks.
She will also need someone with their own car who can fit a collapsible wheelchair in the vehicle who can also assist with transport to and from appointments or university. While in the warmth of the Queensland weather, she would like to get back into swimming which helps with her disability and would love someone who is willing to assist with that.
Our Participant is open to Support Workers of any age however has requested females only. Given her hearing challenges, she has difficulties with strong accents however loves people of all cultures and demographic.
Hours requiring support are:
Tuesday: 7am - 9am / 3pm-6pm (transport assistance, domestic support, meal prep)
Wednesday: 6am -9am / 3pm-6pm (transport assistance, domestic support, meal prep)
Thursday: 10am - 4pm (community access, domestic support, meal prep)
Friday: 11am - 5pm (community access, domestic support, meal prep)
Saturday: 10am - 4pm (community access, domestic support, meal prep)
**Your key responsibilities & accountabilities**:
- To deliver high quality support to our Participants in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered. 
- Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Participants' needs with our Participants, team & Support Specialist.
- Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Participants needs. - Provide support to our Participants as required.
- Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner.
- Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required.
- Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Participants.
- To support our Participants to achieve their NDIS Goals.
To be successful you must

- Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
- Hold or be willing to obtain NDIS worker screening or yellow card
- Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card
