**In-home Family Support Worker**

**Location Eagleby.**

**Support person required
- 9am to Midday
- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.**

We are looking for a family support worker to help a busy family of Mum and 5 young men (aged in their teens to early 20’s) three mornings a week.

This role is focused on providing domestic and household support to help the home run smoothly. This will include cleaning, and cooking or meal preparation and being able to assist the three eldest young men who have autism as they transition between home, employment and their community activities. No personal care required.

You will be directed by the Mum with guidance and support from a key worker and others to gain confidence in the role and to understand the relationships and any specific support needs of the young men in the family.

**This role is open to experienced sole traders who have an ABN.** No service providers please.

We would prefer applicants live within 20 minutes’ drive of Eagleby.

Key requirements
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to a dynamic environment
- Must love animals and be happy to assist in their care.
- Understanding of and experience with autism and neurodiversity
- You are more than a housekeeper/ cleaner you will be providing emotional support and encouragement to the young men in the family.
- This is a family directed arrangement
- must be willing to take Mum’s lead on work to be done.
- Must be patient and practical
- Understand it may take time to build trust with all family members.
- A good understanding of and ability to speak English is essential
- Working with Children Check, NDIS worker screening card, and referees required.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual, Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9 per week
