**About the Opportunity**
We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced General Manager to lead our Manufacturing and Distribution business based in Brendale QLD 4500.

Reporting to the Executive Director, this role will see you managing via your leadership team, the day-to-day operations of hydraulic cylinder production and distribution, whilst delivering financial and strategic objectives and leading your divisional managers to safely and cost effectively achieve on time delivery, excellent customer service and ongoing business profitability.

Your responsibilities will include;
- Achieve annual revenue, gross profit, expenses and net profit budgets
- Ensure a strong safety culture is promoted and encouraged across the company
- Develop, communicate and execute plans and objectives at Company and divisional levels
- Select, manage, lead and motivate divisional personnel, including production, sales, engineering and administration teams, to achieve short and long term objectives.
- Identify and drive efficiency gains and growth initiatives in line with broader company objectives
- Foster a positive, focused, high performing culture across the branch
- Monitor and manage the operational requirements in accordance with company’s corporate management system
- Manage relationships and contracts with customers and suppliers in accordance with policy
- Manage branch and/or division assets including trade debtors, inventory, labour, plant and equipment
- Ensure the Company consistently provides technically competent solutions to customers.

**About You**
To be considered for this role, you will possess;
- Previous experience in a General Manager role overseeing a Production and Manufacturing operation
- Ability to work within a corporate structure in alignment with an assigned delegation of authority
- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes including, scheduling, and planning
- Strong team building, sales, and financial management skills
- Data driven - highly organised and disciplined with strong attention to detail
- Ability to delegate responsibilities and work through divisional managers
- Ability and willingness to mentor future leaders within the business
- 5S or Lean Manufacturing experience with relevant technical knowledge in Manufacturing equipment
- Ability to communicate respectfully and effectively both verbally and in writing to all levels within the Customer Base, Company, and Group
- Continuous improvement mindset and experience driving a strong safety culture.
