As the Ground Operations Duty Manager, you will be responsible for the day of operation for Melbourne Airport performance for, managing activity to standards, driving the implementation of key strategic change initiatives with internal stakeholders/external suppliers. This role will require a high level of stakeholder management to support day-to-day operations.

You’ll have
- Ability and willingness to work a 7-day rotating shift roster- Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skillset. Experience in communicating and influencing with stakeholders of all levels- Experience managing and numerous internal and external stakeholders- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively- The ability to work under pressure to meet business demands, whilst multitasking everchanging needs- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Broad knowledge across airport operations, particularly across Ramp, Freight and/or Operational- Supervisor experience in an operational environment (desirable but not essential)

You Will
- Be responsible for implementing the operational strategies in conjunction with the Ground Operations Manager- Deliver effective operations through the optimisation of safety, on-time performance, compliance, customer and regulatory requirements- Achieve OHS, People, operational, financial and customer performance targets- Develop and maintain effective products, procedures and systems that ensure delivery of service standards.- Lead and coach teams and external providers. Providing regular and ad hoc feedback both confirming and corrective via performance reviews and development discussions- Act as first point of contact for all incident occurrences and other matters relating to operational disruption.- Facilitate effective communication via a variety of methods; e.g. daily Toolbox talks, weekly team meetings monthly feedback forums- Lead the project management of significant product and service implementations where appropriate.
