Group Safety and Wellbeing Advisor

Reporting to the Group Health and Safety Principal, we are seeking a **Group Safety and Wellbeing Advisor **to join the corporate Health & Safety Team and partner closely with our Pastoral operations. It is a small, dynamic team supporting the Group in regard to risk management, rehab and return to work and general systems and Wellbeing and safety initiatives. This role is based in our Brisbane Head Office however will involve regular travel to support our sites.
**About the role**:
As the **Group Safety and Wellbeing Advisor, **you will**:
- Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety and Mining related legislation, ensuring any ongoing changes are implemented where applicable.
- Manage end-to-end safety and wellbeing processes in-line with company/project procedures and best practices
- Assist in the continuous development and improvement of Safety and Wellbeing administration, policies and procedures
- Drive Safety and Wellbeing long-term initiatives to proactively support managers and employees during times of business change
- Undertake all other activities within skill, competence and training as required, including risk management and internal auditing.
**You will bring**:
- Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety or similar qualification and/or experience
- Relevant Legislation knowledge and experience in interpreting and implementing legislation
- Ability to work autonomously, with an eye for planning and mentoring to achieve positive outcomes for the business
- Previous experience as a Health and Safety allrounder, with Risk Management experience
- Demonstrated organisational, planning and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple complex tasks
- The ability to mentor, support and guide leaders with Risk Assessments and Risk Management
