In this role you will provide leadership by empowering team members, coordinating and evaluating program and activities undertaken to manage the Schools to University (S2U) program and other recruitment activities. You will also co-ordinate the day-to-day activities of the Student Recruitment team to attract and create awareness to Indigenous students into Higher Education ad be responsible for the management of activities across Newcastle, Central Coast and Callaghan campuses.
Collaborating closely with Student Advancement Coordinators and Officers and the Administration Officer is essential to this role.

**About the Unit**
The Wollotuka Centre of Indigenous Engagement and Advancement (CIEA) supports innovation, entrepreneurship and collaboration to facilitate the achievement of quality outcomes that prioritises Indigenous students, and in particular, prepares Indigenous graduates who make a difference and to create impact within UON, in our communities and across the globe.
The Student Advancement team provides proactive advice and support to Indigenous students on programs, courses, policies and procedures, and are responsible for providing key support to recruitment and retention activities relating to student success and progression, issue resolution, and student compliance.

This continuing position is full time and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).

The remuneration for this position is from $91259 p.a. +17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

- Aboriginality is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under Section 14 of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
- A relevant degree with at least four years subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise in administrative fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and a knowledge and understanding of the contributions, successes and challenges relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Demonstrated experience in student recruitment and capacity to develop marketing plans to recruit students.
- Ability to show leadership and exceptional interpersonal skills by empowering staff to meet high standards and delivery of targets whilst actively managing performance and KPIs to achieve positive outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in program development, implementation and evaluation and successful completion of funding reporting requirements.
- Outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with primary and secondary schools particularly with Indigenous students.
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence
