Inventory Control is responsible for inventory related activities including stock accuracy, product integrity, warehouse optimisation & KPI reporting across the B9 Botany Paper Mill. The role is responsible for conducting quarterly Full Goods stocktakes and reconciliation, providing written reports to key stakeholders as required.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

- To produce an optimised supply plan for B9 schedule to replenish inventory at Fibre Box plants while ensuring inventory targets are maintained
- Develop the company’s inventory management strategy with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits, generating savings, rationalising inventory and maximizing available working capital
- Manage and maintain the company’s material and stocked product inventory including stock profiles and stock locations
- Manage and control perpetual inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks
- Minimise overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant aged stock to maximize availability of working capital
- Provide routine management information on inventory performance
- Manage the inventory settings within the supply chain to ensure there is sufficient stock available for consistent supply.
- To monitor consumption of forecast making short and long term adjustments as required
- Ensuring there is a balance of materials across all locations, including the movement of stock between locations if necessary

Specifically for this role, we expect you will have;
- Ideally a bachelor’s degree in supply chain or logistics
- Previous experience in an inventory management position within manufacturing
- Strategic thinking, be results driven, and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Well-developed commercial acumen and continuous business improvement focus
- Sound communication skills with ability to collaborate successfully cross functionally
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Proficiency in SAP or any other ERP system
