The opportunity will be on the frontline of healthcare innovation and facilitate the shipments of therapeutic drugs that aim to save human lives.

**About the Role**
The position of Operations Team Lead will take an active role in the ongoing development of the operational ability of the business, to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. The position will be responsible for local operations and managing a team of coordinators, along with the following:

- Design and implement appropriate, compliant, cost-effective and scalable solutions.
- Support the branches to proactively monitor status of shipments, identification and action to deal with issues as they arise.
- Implementing planned corrective measures and escalating appropriately to maintain product viability.
- Being the point of contact to the client's - responding to day to day operational queries.
- Utilising technology to provide enhanced monitoring, management and control of shipments.
- Ensuring placement, control and arrangement of appropriate packaging, equipment and trained operatives are according to SOPs.
- Ensuring coordination and dispatching of drivers for collections and deliveries - that they are on time, and adhere to the clients' expectations.
- Ensuring trade compliance for all Import and Export shipments.
- Ensuring that chain of custody and identity control is maintained through preparation and coordination of associated documentation.
- Ensuring shipment booking with Airlines for best routing solution for all shipments.
- Ensuring proper handling and storage of all shipments with Airlines and ground handling facilities.
- Ensuring labelling and preparation of shipments for export and that a driver is dispatched to meet the airline cut-off time.
- Ensuring system performance compliance with all necessary data entry and confirmation of key milestones.
- Ensuring communication of pre-alerts for all shipments with branches and local service providers.
- Ensuring compliance of Pre
- and Post-flight shipment checks.
- Serve as an escalation point for the operations team - ensuring all issues or delays are communicated to the Management Team.

**Skills and Experience**
To be considered for this position you will need to pose the following experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities:

- Experience within the Freight Forwarding industry handling Air Imports and Export.
- Dangerous Goods certificate and experience.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office suite.
- Strong eye for detail - right first-time attitude.
- Excellent communication skills - able to liaise with other departments and officers internationally.
- Professional phone manner - able to take customer enquiries and think quickly on your feet.
