Fortitude Illawarra is a local Psychosocial Disability Service Provider focusing on what we do best, supporting people with a Psychosocial disability who are impacted by mental illness to live their best life.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

We work collaboratively with individuals, support coordinators and other key people in a person’s life to deliver individualised support for Participant's to reach their goals.

**Your role will be empowering Participants to**:

- Access their community for social and recreational activities
- Prioritise their self-care
- Attend activities in the community
- Strengthen and maintain family relationships.
- Build their capacity
- Cope with the stresses of day-to-day life
- Improve and maintain their mental health and wellbeing
- Create Individual recovery plans to capture their strengths, challenges and short-term goals.
- Have a safe, confidential space for them to share their hopes, fears and dreams.

**The successful applicants will need to have the following**:

- A minimum of working towards certificate/diploma/degree within the disability/community services sector.
- First aid certificate or booked in to complete.
- mental health first aid or willingness to obtain.
- Professional or relevant lived/learnt experience supporting people with a disability
- Working with children check
- Committed to working from a strengths-based approach
- High work ethic
- Understanding of professional boundaries
- A creative approach to remaining person focused.
- A can do attitude.
- A dream of work/life balance, where you are in control of your workload.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $38.10 - $65.52 per hour
