About the Role:
We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Disability Support Workers for a Community Access-focused role. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy being out and about in the community, engaging participants in activities of their choice, and fostering a sense of belonging. You will play a pivotal role in helping participants connect with their community, pursue their interests, and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide community access support to participants, assisting them to participate in social, recreational, and cultural activities.
Actively engage participants in their chosen activities, encouraging independence and building confidence.
Foster a sense of belonging by supporting participants in forming meaningful connections within their communities.
Collaborate with participants to develop activity plans tailored to their interests and goals.
Provide transportation to and from community outings and ensure participant safety throughout activities.
Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with participants, families, and other stakeholders.
Complete documentation and reporting in line with NDIS requirements and Unique Care Services QLD's policies.
About You:
You are a people-oriented, energetic individual who enjoys working in the community and seeing the impact of your support firsthand. You are committed to promoting inclusivity, independence, and a sense of belonging for participants.
Qualifications & Skills:
Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or a related field (or willingness to obtain).
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
A valid Australian Driver’s License and reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not mandatory.

**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $31.56 - $41.76 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 20 per week
