The Digital Mobile Engineering team is responsible for the technology that is the powerhouse for our award-winning Westpac Mobile App. The team collectively builds 10+ mobile apps (iOS, Android, iPad) for both external and internal customers. This team is entrusted to deliver the bank of tomorrow for Westpac’s five million plus customers.

**How will I help?**

This is a unique opportunity for a results-driven Quality Assurance Engineer to analyse, troubleshoot, optimize and deliver quality digital products for our clients.

The core responsibilities of the role are
- While primarily responsible for Quality Assurance of the shippable product, you are expected to proactively contribute in all agile ceremonies (Sprint planning, Estimation, Daily Stand ups and retrospectives) to ensure that every user story to meet Definition Of Done (DOD)
- Raise any defects found during test and escalate in accordance with set procedures to ensure resolution of issues within appropriate timeframes to minimise impact on project quality and schedule
- Manage test infrastructure and execution of automated tests, and continuously maintain automated test cases
- Developing automated test scripts and frameworks for improving mobile app performance
- Identify the automatable and non-automatable Sprint/Release test scope
- Automation and manual validation\testing of banking apps on iOS and Android apps
- Functional and non-functional testing of the digital product
- Documentation and knowledge sharing across teams

**What do I need?**

Mandatory skills:

- Mobile app automation using Appium and/or Web app automation using Selenium
- Automation and functional testing experience
- Experience in API testing and use of tools like Postman, Charles/Burp
- Knowledge in one of the languages - Java/Kotlin
- Code management tool like Git or any equivalent tool
- Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile frameworks
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are a MUST
- Experience in test management tools such as JIRA, X-Ray
- Self-motivated and ability to work with the business
- Growth mindset and not afraid of a challenge

Desirable skills:

- Ability to work with a variety of databases and coding programs, such as, Java, HTML, as well as XML and JSON feeds
- Working experience of CI/CD using Bamboo, Jenkins or any equivalent tool
- Proven experience writing test plans, test strategies, test cases, test reporting
- Cucumber / Gherkins is an added advantage
