Mental Health Worker

**Your LINC is a mental health outreach service. We offer holistic, flexible, and culturally responsive psychosocial support for individuals experiencing mental health challenges and distress across the Adelaide Metro, Barossa, Hills, Fleurieu, Limestone Coast, and Local Health Network regions**.
- Ongoing, Part time 0.8 FTE or Full time 1.0 FTE **|**Location: Elizabeth Park, South Australia

- SCHCADS Level 4, $43.08 per hour + super + PBI salary packaging

**The Role**

Your LINC provides the following support packages:
**Intensive Crisis Support (ICS) (6 weeks) -** provision of flexible high intensity case management support over a period of six weeks. The key outcomes are reduced levels of distress/increased wellbeing via addressing immediate stressors and crises, and supported transition and exit with step-down provision and warm referrals to services as appropriate.

**What you need to bring**

**Essential**
- Certificate IV level qualification in Mental Health (non-clinical) or equivalent qualification.
- Experience and expertise in working directly with people with mental health issues, complex needs, and with their families and carers.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and as a member of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise to meet client service delivery requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in documenting client case notes and working with electronic data bases.
- Demonstrated understanding of available community services, networks and supports.
- Great interpersonal and listening skills to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrated experience working with the recovery framework and taking a trauma informed approach to practice.
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and de-escalate crises.
- Valid Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check.

***Desirable**
- Degree in relevant Human Services discipline.
- Experience using Penelope electronic client management system.

***Special Conditions**
- Flexibility is essential in this role - some work outside of standard hours may be required.
- Willingness to take part in Centacare’s fleet car program or grey fleet your personal vehicle.
