The Group Tax Team is part of a supportive and multidisciplinary Finance Function across the Nine Entertainment Co. Holdings Limited and its controlled entities (Nine Group). Group Tax ensures Nine is compliant with its taxation obligations in Australia and internationally. Nine’s tax corporate governance and tax operating framework is guided by the Nine Tax Corporate Governance Policy, overseen by the Nine Board and delegated to the Board’s Audit and Risk Committee.

As the Tax Analyst you will be a key member of the Nine Group Tax Team, responsible for providing tax compliance and advisory support to the Nine Group, ensuring timely, accurate and efficient execution of the Nine tax compliance processes.

**Job Description**:
**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Assisting in the preparation of income tax returns for the Nine tax consolidated group and its controlled entities for review by the Senior Tax Manager;
- Assisting in the preparation of tax-effect accounting entries and disclosures in accordance with AIFRS, and with maintenance of the tax fixed assets register;
- Assisting in the preparation of the monthly and quarterly BAS and IAS for the Nine Group;
- Assisting in compliance with weekly and annual royalty withholding tax reporting and payment obligations;
- Assisting in the preparation of fringe benefits tax returns and with other employment related taxation obligations such as payroll tax and superannuation guarantee matters;
- Liaising with the ATO and other revenue authorities and assisting in maintaining the income tax consolidated and GST groups and other tax/revenue related registrations;
- Collaborating with the wider Finance team with a view to consistently improving tax processes;
- Other tax related duties and projects as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a tax role
- Previous experience in chartered accounting firms and/or corporate environment
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related disciplines
- CA or CPA qualifications commenced or about to commence
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Strong customer service skills and quality mindset.
- Advanced skills in Word and Excel
- Skills in Microsoft D365 and in tax software such as Global Integrator and OneSource;
- Working knowledge of the Google suite of tools such as Google Docs, Mail & Calendar
