**Your Role**

The purpose of the role and your unique contribution is to support the IAG Retail Insurance Australia Division with product across all products and brands. You will develop innovative solutions which drive superior outcomes for our customers and organisation.

The role will support development of clear underwriting manuals and business rules. This role is pivotal in supporting delivery of customer centric insurance product and underwriting whilst helping to monitor a complex spectrum of customer, market and product risks.

Overall, this role is responsible for supporting product management strength and best practice across Retail Insurance for consumer lines.

Key responsibilities include:

- Work with different teams to understand current challenges and future opportunities for our products and systems.
- Create solutions to improve customer experience, refine risk selection, boost sales, and protect our brand.
- Write policy document wording when needed.
- Coordinate review and approval of marketing material within required timeframes.
- Support system changes, including updates to sales and underwriting processes, as required.
- Provide advice on questions around product intent, helping to clarify ‘grey’ areas in policy coverage.
- Manage relationship with external providers Glasses Guide and Cordell, including payment of invoices.
- As required, research developing industry, community and societal trends to identify new opportunities, risks and solutions.

**About You**
- Prior extensive experience in Portfolio Management or underwriting experience ideally in large scale insurer or financial institution (preferably direct consumer lines)
- Strong stakeholder management both externally and internally
- Understanding of Financial Services Regulatory landscape, including Risk, Legal & Compliance, and regulatory issues.
- Knowledge of and the ability to assess customer needs and provide solutions for them.
- Ability to oversee and govern a broad spectrum of key product, customer and market related risks.
- Strong communication skills and cross team integration
- Proven experience and understanding of risk and regulatory compliance
