Personal Lines Underwriter

**The Role**
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Personal Lines Underwriter to join the team You will be responsible for determining the acceptability, conditions and pricing of insurance risks while delivering quality underwriting service for our insurance brokers.
**Start Date: Immediate Start.** Monday to Friday. Full time permanent role.
**Training**:Full time hybrid training will begin from start date and will run for 6 to 8 weeks, with a requirement of at least 1 office day per week. We do require your commitment to the full-time training.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Understand the Agri, Personal & SME business plan and how your role contributes towards the plan.
- Deliver timely service outcomes for partners and stakeholders in line with agreed standards
- Underwrite insurance risks in line with product guidelines
- Ensure ways of working are in line with nationally agreed policies and protocols
- Deliver quality service experience at all available customer touchpoints to influence partner advocacy
- Governance through adherence to Group policies
- Live by the IAG values
- Ensure a workplace of safety and wellbeing for our people
**Skills & Experience**
- Customer service mindset
- Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) skills
- Ability to develop successful working relationships with key stakeholders
- Focus on continuous self-improvement
- Technical underwriting capability and business acumen is preferred
- Understanding of intermediated insurance market is preferred
