Project Risk Consultant

**About the role**:
The role of Project Risk Consultant is to provide dedicated project risk support to the Insurance project portfolio. The role is responsible for identifying risks and supporting project delivery and delivered risk assessments, for the project to be aware of the obligations to ensure safe and managed projects from a risk and compliance perspective. This role will have the support where required from a Project Risk Advisor or Leader.
**What you’ll do**:
- Assisting with Delivery and Delivered risk workshops
- Completing delivered risk assessments prior to project deliveries
- Maintaining and being responsible for providing ongoing Project Risk support and advice to multiple projects at various delivery stages
- Working directly with the Program and Project Managers and their project teams to discuss delivery and delivered risks, potential controls and issues
- Provide insight and support to the Business Risk Partner Delivery teams to facilitate uplift in risk practices via outcomes of Delivered and Delivery Risk Assessments.
- Identification of risks and issues within the business to ensure we are providing our customers with a high quality, market leading experience.
- Actively share learnings and insights broadly across the Insurance Risk team to foster a learning culture and an uplift capability
- Assisting in the development and management of project risk profiles
- Reviewing project artefacts
**What you’ll bring**:
- Relevant degree in Business, Law or related field (Desired)
- Minimum 1 (one) year of appropriate industry experience in general insurance
- Minimum one (1) year experience within Risk related business area(s).
**Key Capabilities/Technical Competencies**:
- Solid stakeholder relationships building skills
- Good understanding of the insurance products, industry, market environment and customer segment.
- Ability to undertake both quantitative and qualitative analysis and draw conclusions and highlight risks
- Strong ability to convey and explain information, coherently and confidently both verbally and in writing with mínimal supervision
- Customer service - committed to delivering a quality differentiated experience to all customers.
- Time management skills - prioritisation of work without supervision
- Customer experience-focused - proven commitment to delivering a continually improving, quality, differentiated experience
- Adaptable and responsive to a continuously changing environment.
- Elementary understanding of significant legislative, regulatory and code or practice requirements impacting Suncorp as a Group (eg. Privacy Act, Trade Practices legislation, ASIC policy / APRA prudential standards, etc
- Strong risk knowledge coupled with energy and passion for the risk profession
