**The role**:
The global PR and communications manager will develop, manage and maintain the communications strategy for the one of our clients most important business units, globally, liaise with senior executives & Directors to ensure delivery of key messages, manage the communications budget and provide strategic input as well as hands on implementation. The role actively manages crisis communications and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Manage the annual communications and marketing budget.

Advise other budget holders on cost effective communications to deliver maximum impact for the financial investment

Develop internal and external communications plans to increase brand awareness and recognition for the organisation and measure effectiveness.

Develop and implement communications strategies for key issues that impact our client, including crisis management.

Develop, implement and maintain a Stakeholder Engagement Plan.

Build relationships with key stakeholders and partners, ensuring clarity regarding the PR and communication plans where our client provides a service / product.

Manage all day-to-day communication needs for our client, including websites, electronic direct mail and social media while providing guidance and direction to the global teams.

Lead the coordination, development and implementation of various global communication initiatives.

Develop collateral for the website and social media platforms and other communications channels as per the communications strategy and plan.

Take guardianship of consistency, quality and maintenance of communications messages and bring them to life in all communications channels.

The role holder will be able to satisfy the following criteria:
5+ years previous experience as a PR or Communications Manager. Experience with a NFP would be a strong advantage.

Proven ability to lead communications strategies.

Experience of developing and implementing media, advocacy or marketing campaigns.

Experience of representing an organisation to the public or/and media.

Excellent written communications and presentation skills

Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, professional printing/publishing skills are essential, including ability to present concepts verbally.

A wide degree of creativity

Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media.

Experience in using MS Office package, Illustrator, In-design, Photoshop, CMC systems -Intermediate knowledge.

Graphic design skills in document design and layout, image manipulation, photography and video file capture.
