Fortinet is seeking a Manager of public relations to lead our PR and communications across ANZ. This position plays a critical role in gaining recognition in the market and managing a highly effective PR program, reaching key media outlets and target audiences. This role will manage an outsourced agency to develop an editorial calendar orchestrating our news across planned, opportunistic and reactive stories. In addition you will run a daily news bureau function and drive content creation to help tell Fortinet stories across different communication channels including video, social and external blogs. This position will report into the Marketing Director, ANZ based in Sydney.

**Responsibilities**:

- PR campaign execution across ANZ and manage local PR agency relationships
- Lead the news bureau by thinking of creative and interesting ways to bring together the collective Fortinet story with a steady drumbeat of “always-on storytelling.”
- Facilitate/coordinate briefings between Fortinet spokespeople, media and PR agency
- Review materials including press releases, briefing documents, bylines and media statements
- Participate in creative brainstorming among both internal and external PR team; help develop story angles and creative pitches to drive meaningful coverage
- Manage regional research/surveys with PR agency to drive thought leadership and media coverage.
- Support regional channel partner PR needs
- Partner with members of the Fortinet marketing team to contribute to broader communications efforts, including social media, events, media briefings, analyst relations, regional marketing, and other touch points with media/influencers
- Content creation: use storytelling and writing skills to translate Fortinet corporate narrative into content assets for social and traditional media placements (paid, earned, owned).
- Customer success stories - Develop program to ensure a steady beat of local customer stories

**Requirements**:

- 10+ years in technology public relations / corporate communications or related experience with a high-growth publicly held company.
- Deep content creation experience within the IT infrastructure software industry an advantage.
- Be an outstanding writer and possess strong verbal communication skills
- Strong background in media relations including broadcast, public relations writing, project management, and social media
- Detail oriented as well as deadline focused
- Capable of building strong working relationships across all levels of the company
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, English, journalism or equivalent
- BS/BA in Business, Marketing, or Communications preferred.

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus
