About the Role
- Key responsibilities of the role include working with colleagues statewide to provide training and support around the education and pedagogy needed to teach Deaf children who use Auslan. This includes working with classroom teachers, school administrators, Teacher Aide: Auslan Language Models, Teacher Aide: Educational Interpreters and teachers of the deaf in specialised programs.
- The DHHS Team has a statewide, borderless brief and includes a group of Deaf, HH and hearing staff who work together to ensure high level support to students across the state.
