Contract Civil Field Worker positions based locally on the Sunshine Coast

Our Client

Our client is an established local organisation who are seeking Civil Field Workers / Labourers to carry out a hands-on role in delivering and maintaining efficient and effective day-to-day operation of civil maintenance and construction activities.

Potential Requirements (please note these may vary between different roles):

- 30215 Qld - General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) - White Card.
- Current “C” class driver’s Licence.
- Physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting and bending.
- Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member of a high performing team.
- Demonstrated problem solving and communication skills necessary to follow direction and work programs to complete tasks within set timeframe.

Desirable Requirements.
- Certificate III in Civil Construction
- Additional plant Licences will be highly regarded
- Use mechanical and handheld equipment
- Current Medium Rigid (MR) Driver’s Licence and demonstrated experience and ability to operate and undertake general maintenance of trucks, relevant civil construction and machinery.
- Experience and knowledge of delivering and maintaining efficient and effective day-to-day operation of plant for civil maintenance and construction tasks
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills along with the ability to provide on-the-job coaching.

General construction and maintenance labouring tasks associated with, but not limited to:

- Concreting
- Kerb and channelling
- Stormwater drainage
- Roads
- Roadside assets
- Bridges
- Foreshores and reserves
- Removal and disposal of debris
- Operate and maintain machinery & equipment as per the manufacturer’s recommendations.
