Our client, based in Edinburgh and Mawson lakes are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to work on-site. The purpose of your role is operating mobile plant for minor civil construction projects and transportation of materials. You will be working with a dedicated team of employees and with a company that offers career advancement opportunities. The position will commence on a casual ongoing basis.

**Key duties include**:

- Complete visual inspection and pre-start checklists on items of plant.
- Work from drawings and markers under the direction of supervisors and engineers
- Load and unload equipment from low loaders and move it around works sites
- Set sub bases to required levels
- Break up paving, roc and similar material by operating hydraulic or pneumatic breakers
- Excavate or scrape earth, rock or rubble to the correct level and alignment
- Load trucks with excavated fill
- Drive machines to and from work sites
- Service equipment by cleaning, lubricating and refuelling it and make minor adjustments and repairs when necessary

**Skills required for the position**:

- Basic mechanical knowledge of plant and equipment
- Previous experience in operation of plant and equipment
- Construction white card
- National Police Clearance (within 12 months)
- Good attention to detail and quality control
- Ideally 3 years experience operating
- Relevant plant license
- Must have strong work ethic
- Driver's license
- Punctual and Reliable
