We are currently on the lookout for an experienced and hands on **Functions Manager **who is at the absolute top of their game and hungry for an opportunity to join one of Melbourne’s most iconic landmarks, **Melbourne Zoo**, located in **Parkville**.

As the **Functions Manager**, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the function team across multiple indoor function venues, and outdoor events. You will come from a premium hospitality / function background and have a passion for providing unique and memorable experiences for weddings, corporate events, family days, birthday parties to booked events such as Mother’s Day and beyond. Melbourne Zoo is based on 55 Acres which requires extensive event / operational planning to achieve the desired event - from guests, suppliers, security, catering and key stakeholders that all require coordination prior and on the day of the event. This is a hands-on role, from event day to rostering and planning future events this role needs to be a strong communicator with excellent customer service and attention to detail.

**Skills include**:

- Experience working with multiple dining, catering and function outlets
- Experience in stock control, ordering, hygiene, menu planning, safety awareness & staff control
- Implementing and observing relevant safety & hygiene practices
- Function planning and management in a hands-on capacity
