**About the role**:
JBS Australia is seeking a suitably motivated and committed person with experience in a large range of mechanical and electrical equipment that provides major utilities for water, coal, gas, and biogas, electricity for refrigeration and steam for hot water and process heating.

**Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)**:

- Staff development and training of approximately a dozen skilled tradespeople and apprentices and a greaser.
- Team compliance with OH&S, QA and environmental regulations
- Supervision of quality and work performance of workshop staff and maintenance contractors.
- Develop and oversee required servicing and preventative maintenance programs.
- Expense/cost control in the workshop area
- Abiding by all Policies and Procedures of the Company
- Ensuring strict compliance to OH&S legislative requirements.

**About you**:

- An appropriate trade qualification is a prerequisite
- Established and experienced trade background either mechanical or electrical.
- Leadership skills
- Organising and planning skills
- Demonstrated efficiency with computers and Microsoft packages.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
- This is a dynamic, and responsive role requiring relationships with the production department and quick reaction to ensure high plant uptime.
- **Requirements**:Working a 24 hour rotating roster over 7 days
