ALG is currently recruiting a **Principal Quality Officer** for our renowned client based in Brisbane Australia. This is a permanent position employed directly under the client's organization and will be part of the Safety & Quality Team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement and manage a Quality Management System (QMS) which assures ongoing compliance with Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulatory requirements and Civil Aviation Orders.
- Develop, implement, and manage an Approved Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) which assures ongoing compliance with Part 145 of the CASR 1998.
- Perform the role of CASA Form 4 Quality Manager for Fixed and Rotary Wing Part 145 and Part 42 organisations, including the provision of continuous staff training.
- Develop a robust audit schedule and undertake audits of both organizational and external supplier processes, procedures and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and identify quality improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate and participate in the evaluation and implementation of internal change management initiatives, identifying hazards, risks and conducting SWOT analyses of current and emerging aviation industry trends to maintain CASA regulatory compliance.
- Maintain oversight of document control and data management practices and processes to ensure personnel have access to current and controlled aviation processes and procedures. Research, analyse, and prepare high level reports and presentations to the organization's senior leadership in the performance of the organization's QMS, recommending improvements and corrective action when required.
- Develop processes and procedures for the ongoing maintenance of the organization's Air Operator's Certification and training requirements to address potential deficiencies and implement changes for continuous improvement and CASA regulatory compliance.

**Job Requirements**:

- Ability to attain CASA Form 4 approval as Quality Manager.
- High level knowledge of Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) or aviation regulatory environment.
- Knowledge of helicopter and/or fixed wing operations & engineering processes.
- Proven track record of developing and managing quality systems and quality assurance programs.
- Experience managing staff and workflow within a Quality Assurance and Safety environment.
- Aviation auditing experience.
- Previous experience with ISO 9001, ISO 45001 frameworks
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. (desirable)
- Experience in Project Management. (desirable)
