**Nephrology Fellow - Rare Kidney Disease**
**12 month - Part Time (0.4EFT) Fixed Term**

- The RMH Nephrology Department is one of Australia's largest renal services, providing a comprehensive clinical and referral service for patients with acute kidney disease injury, chronic kidney disease and end-stage kidney failure, encompassing a highly successful kidney transplant service. The service is strongly committed to providing high quality patient care, improving the lives of people with kidney disease through research and innovation in clinical care.
- Work within the dynamic multidisciplinary team in the Department of Nephrology
- Inaugural position suiting a creative and passionate individual wanting to provide high quality patient care, innovative service improvement and research development
- Establish a comprehensive clinical and research framework to support the care of people living with rare kidney diseases
- We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual to join our Nephrology team. This is a part time, fixed term 12-month position, working 34.4 hours per fortnight, based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital City Campus
**About the role**:
- Provide outpatient clinical care for people living with rare kidney diseases
- Design and implement a model of comprehensive multidisciplinary care using Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) as an exemplar condition
- Develop and implement clinical guidelines, data collection tools and auditing frameworks
- Explore research and clinical trial opportunities by establishing potential partnerships with both external and local precinct based scientific and industry-based groups
**About You**:
- Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Completed at least 2 years of specialist training in Nephrology
- Strong communication skills, a compassionate approach to patient care and a passion for innovation
- Desirable to have previous experience in clinical auditing, quality improvement project or change implementation.
Specific experience working with people living with Tubular Sclerosis Complex or other rare kidney diseases.
