A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Principal Security Advisor to join a medium sized company at the start of their cyber journey.

This is an opportunity whereby you will drive and design the cyber strategy & roadmap, ensure the business adheres to certain standards and regulatory obligations and manages 3rd party vendors.

This is an opportunity to really make your mark in a senior management / advisory capacity. Reporting directly into the decision makers.

**Key Functions**

The opportunity presents itself as a great role for a Principle Cyber Security Advisor. Due to the nature of the business, we do require someone who has been on the tools before & can speak to engineers & administrators at a technical level.

Some of the key functions for this role include:

- Provide strategic direction and advisory to stakeholders
- Develop and implement security strategy and program of work
- Ensure compliance across regulation and alignment to Essential 8/NIST etc
- Financial management of a budget
- Ensure 3rd parties and vendors are meeting expectations
- Work closely with the internal IT teams to ensure they are meeting security standards and SLA’s

**About You**

I am looking for a Principle Security Advisor that has experience operating at a senior management level and has exposure navigating complicated internal relationships.
- Solid experience in a cyber security advisory capacity
- Strong communication and proven ability influencing senior stakeholders
- Strong understanding of cyber security regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Previous experience performing technical functions (current or in the past) i.e. in security, infrastructure, networks etc

**Salary - $200k - $220k + Super.**
