Due to an internal move, we now have an opening for someone to join the team at our Ryde home to create meaningful opportunities for people with disability to belong and thrive.

We are looking for someone who can bring people together and carry on the great work & moral which has been created in this home. We are wanting a strong experienced leader who comes with good communication skill. Be organised, proactive and someone who can deal with challenging situations at times. We are looking for a great team player who is also very capable of working on their own and best of all You will be working under a wonderful & supportive Leader.

**We would also like you to have the ability to**:

- work with participants & their supports to understand the need for consistency & connection whilst maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
- Understand the importance of person-centred active support.
- Be resilient & understand that that the people who reside at the house do not always have good days.
- Adaptable in your approach to keep everyone safe and supported.
- Help develop plans with participants to ensure they have a voice in how they want to live their life.
- Recognises the importance of promoting to people with a disability to make choices, try new things, accept there are challenges and provide reassurance to work through problems.
- Understand the importance for reflective practice in the planning & reviews of supports & future learning.
- Ability to motivate a team through challenges.

***To be successful in this role we ideally would like you to have**:

- Qualification in the Social Services or relevant domain e.g. social work, psychology, disability, mental health, etc. or relevant industry experience (minimum Cert 4 equivalent).
- People leadership experience & demonstrated outcomes management.
- Knowledge of relevant disability legislation, standards e.g. NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework, the National Standards for Disability Services.
- Demonstrated experience in providing supports to adults living with complex mental health diagnoses and/or psychosocial disability.
- Experience and understanding or NDIS practice standards specifically around Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices, and continuous improvement plans.
- Understand & able to implement Risk Management strategies and procedures to minimise all areas of identified risk.
- First Aid / CPR Certification.
