**About the role**
We're looking for a passionate and skilled communicator to join our Strategic Communications team within the Corporate Affairs department. This role is key to keeping staff informed, engaged, and connected across the organisation.

As Internal Communications Advisor, you'll work closely with business units and senior leadership to deliver clear, timely, and strategic internal communications. You'll lead the internal communications function, manage key channels like our intranet, Monday Memo, and digital signage, and support communication plans for key initiatives.

Reporting to the Coordinator Strategic Communications, you’ll bring a mix of strategic thinking, excellent writing skills, and a collaborative mindset. This is a job share role, available due to a 12-month secondment of the current incumbent. Some basic design skills are a bonus, but not essential. Join a supportive team that values creativity, continuous improvement, and teamwork. No afterhours or weekend work is required. Occasional travel may be needed for events such as All Staff meetings at the Depot.

**What your day will look like**
- Manage business requests to promote their programs, initiatives and events to internal staff
- Work with business units to provide strategic internal communication plans
- Manage communication tools including the intranet, digital signage
- Prepare and plan submissions for the Weekly Monday Memo and the Executive Leadership Update
- Provide best practise communications advice

**What you will bring**
- Degree or diploma qualification in communications, marketing or business administration or equivalent with some relevant experience or lesser formal qualification and substantial relevant experience in the field of specialist expertise.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to develop and implement internal communication strategies
- Experience managing digital communication channels (e.g. intranet, newsletters, signage)
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across an organisation
