The Product Manager role is at the center of translating customer needs and market trends into scalable solutions that deliver measurable outcomes for our customers and our business. This involves identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing opportunities for growth by focusing on solving repeatable, high-value problems for a broad segment of the market.

The goal is to introduce new products, features, and capabilities that provide tangible benefits that drive customer success at scale. This role is a central hub within Lexer, working closely with business, technical partners, and customers; extracting and collecting critical information about their needs, their challenges, their industry, the market, and our competitors to build the products’ vision through product roadmaps.

Product Managers at Lexer work with software developers and product marketers to plan, build, and launch products with persistence, follow-through, implementation and agility.

**Essential Duties May Include...**:
**Within the first 30 days and ongoing**:

- Learns Lexer’s business model, products, services and processes; builds an informed point of view on Lexer’s overall market positioning and competitive differentiation.
- Within the first 2 weeks, meets and shadows the Success Team, Sales Team, and Marketing Team members in job functions and learns all the aspects of the business and understands Lexer’s buyers and users.
- Learns Lexer tools by being the user, asking thoughtful questions from the perspective of the customer.
- Meets with leadership weekly to understand and navigate through the businesses strategic objectives, current roadmap and priorities.

Familiarizes self with the typical cycle of a Product Manager at Lexer: Discovering (customer & market insights), Designing (solutions & user experiences), Building (delivery & execution), Launching (go-to-market & enablement), and Measuring (outcomes & iteration).

**By day 30**
- Lives and breathes Lexer Values every day; sharp, high value, proactive, dependable, playful and caring.
- Has built positive working relationships with sales, marketing, success, and developer teams, and is an active contributor during meetings, working with them to identify ways to create better outcomes for our customers.
- Has interacted substantially with new and existing customers and shown the ability to establish relationships and build trust.

**By day 60**
- Owns and reports on outcome measurements for their products.
- Has a comprehensive understanding of the strategic objectives of Lexer and the current roadmap. Has a core understanding of all the product initiatives under their management.
- Owns product initiatives and proactively moves them forward in support of desired outcomes. Leads cross-functional meetings, gets buy-in, and ensures follow-up on critical next steps. Maintains a daily relationship with developer teams to help navigate active projects through to completion.
- Has managed at least 1 product initiative from brief, to design, build, testing, deployment, launch, training, support, and tracking.
- Collaborates with Product Marketing on positioning, collateral and competitive intelligence for their products.

**3 months**
- Able to clearly articulate and present the long-term vision and roadmap for their products and how those products fit within the company’s overall strategy.
- Proposes to company leadership where product investments under their management should be prioritized in the next 6-12 months, with grounding for these recommendations based on validated customer problems and potential market impact.
- Engages in continuous discovery by consistently and proactively gathering feedback and insights from customers and prospects. Surfaces customer problems and other unmet needs, and recommends impactful product improvements.
- Manages the end-to-end product lifecycle, including roadmapping, project planning, design, build and launch. Successfully plans and executes a minimum of 4-5 initiatives.

**6-9 months and beyond**
- Presents next 18 month product roadmap to the executive team, identifying new opportunities and outcomes to focus on. Has clear ownership over the future direction of their products.
- Drives revenue and cost goals forward; collaborates with finance on pricing, financial planning, performance analysis and forecasting.
