**About the role**
A great opportunity has become available for an Accounts Payable Officer to join a reputable and culture-focused organisation located in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne in a permanent full-time position. They are seeking someone who is ambitious and driven to be responsible for the accounts payable function, which will involve such duties as month-end, reporting, invoicing, reconciliations and payments. This role allows you to work in a fast-paced and thriving organisation while offering you a challenging yet rewarding opportunity.

**Key Responsibilities**
Some duties and responsibilities include, though not limited to:

- Reconcile statements and pay suppliers in accordance with the agreed payment terms
- Maintain accurate supplier records within the accounting system to ensure accuracy and integrity
- Improve Accounts Payable systems and processes to maximize efficiency and deliver the best possible outcomes
- Manage relationships with suppliers
- Manage record keeping to ensure documents are filed and easily locatable as required for both internal and auditing purposes
- Assist with process improvements and system implementation initiatives

**Skills and Experience**

In addition, you will demonstrate the ability to:

- Bachelor degree
- A minimum of 2 years in an Accounts Payable role
- Microsoft Office suite knowledge - Intermediate Excel skills
- SAP experience is an advantage
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
