El 1 - Assistant Director Enterprise Resource Planning Benefits Management
2 weeks ago
$115,899 - $130,733 + up to 15.4% Superannuation
- Campbell Park - ACT
**The Role**
Defence has embarked on a large-scale business transformation through the adoption of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) capability. This is a fundamental change program to modernise, integrate and transform Defence’s approach to managing its finances, procurement, workforce, military supply chain and logistics, engineering and maintenance, case and estate management.
The ERP Business Operations Centre (BOC) is a new branch established within the Associate Secretary Group (ASG) to lead the business adoption and ongoing sustainment of the ERP capability within Defence. As progressive ERP capability is delivered into sustainment, the role of the BOC is to support business sustainment and support to ERP users at all levels.
A key function of the BOC is the ERP Benefits Directorate, providing benefits management, benefits and sustainment reporting and key activities supporting value chain adoption. The benefits and sustainment reporting is integrated, and relationship management is key to achieving outcomes. This role supports the ongoing implementation and delivery of outcomes towards the ERP Benefits Management Strategy and Benefits Realisation Plan. It has a key leadership role in the development of regular reporting on ERP benefits and sustainment activities for senior leaders.
The role will work closely with the Director ERP Benefits to:
- Lead and coordinate a broad range of directorate activities including strategic planning, governance functions and resource management.
- Build relationships with a network of stakeholders to ensure timely delivery outcomes are met in a devolved responsibility environment.
- Develop, deliver and mature enterprise-level reporting outcomes, consolidating information from a variety of sources.
- Deliver high quality written materials and visual materials for senior audiences, including working directly with BOC leadership on urgent tasking.
**About our Team**
The ERP BOC consists of a multi-skilled integrated Australian Public Service (APS), Australian Defence force (ADF) and Contractor workforce, responsible to the Associate Secretary for the orchestration of ERP capability. This will be achieved through centralised business assurance, policy and process alignment, the provision of ERP data governance support, analytical and business interrogation activities, and working collaboratively to drive value chain optimisation.
The BOC also provides the military and civilian training support for ERP capability, as well as a service support hub to support or conduct a range of ERP service management activities, as well as transactions across Force Element structure establishment; engineering and asset maintenance and planning activities; supply chain business processes; estate and maintenance; and human resource, financial management, and case management support.
The Assistant Director ERP Benefits Management will be able to leverage their experience to build a network of stakeholders to deliver outcomes aligned to the key sustainment and benefits priorities. They will be familiar with working with senior leadership and have the ability to prepare high-quality briefs, reports and information to meet critical deadlines. They will have experience with working with a range of stakeholders, in a devolved responsibility environment.
As ERP is a complex enterprise program ERP program, key element of the role is synthesising complex program and strategic information and utilise problem solving techniques to break down key challenges to achieve outcomes for stakeholder agreement.
