**About the role**:
As the leader of the Payroll team, you will manage a diverse team of Payroll professional to strive towards providing an efficient and accurate Payroll function.

Reporting
The role reports to Head, People Solutions & Delivery - Australia & New Zealand

**What this job involves**:
Provide leadership for the payroll function in the end-to-end payroll processing across Australia & New Zealand.

Ensure the payroll is processed correctly, on time and in line with internal policy and regulatory requirements

Shape the future of the payroll function at JLL

Mentor & develop the payroll team

Be an active participant in the Global Payroll Communities of practice.

Work closely with the HR team to ensure all queries regarding employee payroll changes are resolved quickly

Develop and refine the payroll knowledge base to assist employees in self servicing

Work with key stakeholders to improve payroll processes and relationships

Identify variances in monthly payroll and work proactively with Finance team on mitigation strategies

Sign off & submit monthly returns and payments for all vendors - Payroll Tax, Super, WC, PAYG etc.

Review all manual data entry processing and verify interface data from Workday is accurately recorded in payroll vendor.

Investigate, clarify and document relationships and processes with internal Finance team.

Lead audit activities as required both regionally and locally, taking responsibility where required.

Skills, Experience & Knowledge
5+ years of experience managing a large payroll function and team

A highly attuned customer experience mindset that sets the tone with strong customer focus and high-quality payroll delivery

Excellent written & verbal communication skills

Strong business, financial & analytical acumen.

Ability to inspire and lead a diverse, flexible team

A change agent who is not afraid to challenge the status quo and adapt to different ways of working

Passion for payroll and understanding of key user experience drivers

Pragmatic and ability to work across multiple systems & products including but not limited to HRIS, Payroll, Case Management, Teams

Build a culture of continuous improvement in the payroll function, collaborating with colleagues across multiple teams to drive process standardisation and alignment of ways of working across the teams

Experience in leading a high-volume payroll function

Remain up to date on relevant legislation and policy compliance requirements for process alignment and development.

Able to work as part of a team and individually to ensure a high performing and engaged team.

Exceptional time management skills, ability to prioritise and be able to effectively deal with change

Experience of Payroll technologies required
