**The Role**
As a Manager Climate Change, you will work with the Executive Manager, Climate Action to execute and uplift the Climate & Disaster Resilience Action Plan (Action Plan). This includes climate scenario analysis, climate risk assessment and evaluation, net zero and emissions measurement and reduction, and employee-facing initiatives.

The responsibilities of the role include:

- Oversee the governance and implementation of the Action Plan by working with and engaging people across the organisation to embed climate-related considerations into core business, risk architecture and divisional planning.
- Own and drive key Action Plan commitments including aspects of climate scenarios analysis and the net zero roadmap including driving focus on Scope 3 emissions.
- Influence and engage on key Action Plan commitments including customer-linked climate opportunities, external policy advocacy and external engagements (e.g. Insurance Council of Australia, UN Net Zero Insurance Alliance).
- Manage climate governance including Action Plan program management and reporting to the Board, Group Leadership Team and Steering Committees.
- Support communication of climate-related activities, both internally and externally.

**Required Experience**
- Expertise in developing and integrating climate change strategy into broader organisational risk management, business strategy and strategic processes
- Highly developed communication, influencing and negotiating skills
- Strong working knowledge of climate risk reporting and disclosures (desirable)
- Exposure and understanding of relevant GHG accounting guidelines and methodologies (desirable)
