Are you ready to embark on a rewarding journey where every step you take makes a positive impact? Crescent Respite is looking for enthusiastic and compassionate female disability support workers in the Bendigo area who have experience working with individuals recovering from strokes, especially elderly clients transitioning back to their new normal.

In this role, you will be providing essential support to NDIS participants, many of whom are elderly and require both physical and emotional assistance as they navigate life post-stroke. If you have experience in offering emotional encouragement and relate well to those of similar age, we’d love to hear from you.

**About the Role**:

- We are seeking experienced female support workers who believe in second chances and are passionate about helping clients reintegrate into their communities.
- You will provide 1:3 assistance with daily living skills, supporting individuals in our newly established SIL (Supported Independent Living) accommodation in Bendigo, Victoria.
- Your duties will include meal assistance, personal care, helping clients with their rehabilitation exercises, and offering much-needed emotional support and encouragement.

**What are we looking for?**
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in disability, community services, or a similar field.
- Experience working with elderly clients recovering from a stroke.
- Willingness to assist clients with personal care, medication management, community access, meal preparation, social activities, domestic tasks, and mealtime support.
- Certificate III or higher in Disability Support, Community Services, or a related qualification.
- Availability to work 20+ hours per week, including flexibility to work on a rotating roster with sleepover shifts.

**Mandatory Requirement -**
- Valid Victorian Driver’s License
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Valid First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Manual Handling certificate
- Medication Administration certificate
- Victorian Working with Children’s Check
- National Police Check (obtained within last 6 months)
