Evaluation Officer

**Do you have**
- experience, interest, and/or qualifications in research or evaluation of projects, programs, initiatives or strategies in social policy
- an understanding of the Victorian context of education, training, health and/or related sectors
- project management and stakeholder management skills
- communication skills, being able to get the message across clearly and concisely
- a track record of working effectively within a large team
- initiative and accountability for delivering high quality work?

**The Opportunity**

It is a great time to be joining the DET in-house Evaluation Practice, recently awarded the Australian Evaluation Society's ‘Evaluation System Award'. The Evaluation Practice within the Department of Education and Training continues to produce high-quality evaluations and contribute to the development and expansion of DET's evaluation culture.

The Evaluation Officers will work closely with the Project Leads, Managers and the broader team to progress shared priorities. Key areas of work include:

- Developing, implementing, and managing the full lifecycle of evaluations to meet identified deliverables and departmental objectives on time and on budget
- Providing authoritative advice to stakeholders including preparing and presenting detailed reports and briefs related to evaluation projects
- Promoting and contributing to the development of evaluation culture across the department, including resources to build evaluation capability across the organisation and the use of evidence to inform stakeholders, policy, and practice.

**About You**

If you are interested in evaluations, are confident in communicating with a range of stakeholders and partnering with them to understand their needs and can demonstrate an in-depth understanding and experience of specialist expertise in evaluations, project management, and stakeholder management, then this is the role for you.

Although not essential, experience with evaluation in education settings would see you thrive in this role. In addition, experience working in government would also be advantageous.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
