**About the Role**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Implement a comprehensive testing strategy aligned with the organisation's overall business goals and technology roadmap.
- Lead and manage a team of test professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and training to ensure optimal performance.
- Establish and maintain efficient testing processes, including test planning, test design, test execution, and defect management.
- Drive the adoption of test automation tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and reliability.
- Ensure that the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate testing risks to minimize the impact on project delivery and business operations.
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on testing progress and addressing concerns.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the testing team, identifying opportunities to enhance testing practices and processes.

**Essential Skills and Experience**:

- Demonstrated experience within financial institutions, preferably Banking
- Proven track record integrating, managing and leading multiple testing teams from varying backgrounds
- Expertise in various testing types, including functional, non-functional, performance, and security testing.
- Hands on experience in Test Management/Test Consultant experience covering all areas of SDLC/STLC
- Skills across numerous test levels, supporting Agile, V-Model, Waterfall and Hybrid testing methodologies.
- Strong experience with liaising with stakeholders at all levels, and working with Planit’s Practice Leads to drive the business forward
- Strong SQL skills to validate data from multiple sources like Files, XMLs, Databases
- Outstanding verbal and written communication

**Desirable Skills**:

- Certified ISTQB Advanced Test Management
- Certified in Certified Agile Essentials or Certified Agile Testing courses.
- Experience in web services, XML, mobile apps, cloud testing or Agile methods
- Experience across the Financial Services, Health, Retail, Utilities, Banking, FMCG or Telecommunications Industries
- Experience with test automation, SQL or coding
