Our Client Insights team is responsible for the firm's Voice of Client program, combining skills of primary qualitative and quantitative research, secondary research, social media research with data analysis and insight creation to inform decision-making by leaders across KPMG's divisions and industry groups. We sit within the firm's Clients & Markets group which leads our Client Centred strategy across KPMG.
**Your Opportunity**
As a Competitive Intelligence Manager within our Client Insights team, you will be driving data-driven decision making across the firm, ensuring we have a deep understanding of the market and competitor dynamics at play in our key industry sectors and service areas as well as the broader professional services landscape. You will play a crucial role by:
- Uncovering insights that will help identify areas of opportunity and demand to drive action and client-centred behaviours across the firm, bolster KPMG Australia’s market position, and most importantly, enable teams to deliver exceptional value to our clients and the firm.
- Support the Head of Insights and the Research Lead in executing primary and secondary, qualitative and quantitative research for KPMG.
- Leverage all available primary and secondary resources - internal data, access to stakeholders, syndicated data and custom research.
- Support optimal delivery methods for the Insights team to collaborate with sectors, divisions, sales and marketing functions to ensure client insights are a key pillar of their strategies.

- Degree in business administration, market research, data science, or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
- Demonstrate strong research/insights/analytics experience within a business to business or consulting environment.
- Strong experience in the area of competitive intelligence, including methods, sources and frameworks for synthesising multiple source of data.
- Strong understanding of the professional services industry and how large consulting firms operate.
- Business acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify key trends/opportunities from data.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a wide range of senior stakeholders.
- Ability to distil data sources (qualitative, quantitative, secondary, etc.) into an insightful story with actionable recommendations.
- Familiarity in running complex research projects that require data inputs from multiple sources.
- Proven ability to convert insights and market research into action programs.
- Strong analytical and data visualization skills; proficiency in statistical analysis tools and software is an advantage.
