**About the role**- Permanent, Full-Time**

As the Learning and Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in Baptist Care SA’s employee experience and their success in the workplace. This role is responsible for building and implementing the overall strategy for L&D as well as leading a small team of two. You will build effective relationships with the People and Culture, Executive and Operations teams, as well as external stakeholders, to work together and ensure key deliverables and compliance obligations are met. You will take a proactive approach to drive training initiatives,make recommendations for change and continuously improve LMS offerings.

Key responsibilities for this role include but not limited to:

- Design, develop and implement the Learning and Development Strategy and Roadmap that satisfies technical, professional, and corporate learning and development need
- Project manage the implementation of a range of learning and development interventions including assessment tools and learning resources
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to Baptist Care SA and/or industry best practice
- Maintain the accreditation and qualifications governance and audit process to monitor and maintain compliance with mandatory training required for relevant programs.
- Inspire and motivate the team to ensure they are thinking and acting at their best, delivering high quality work, working as an effective team, and meeting organisational and individual objectives.

**About you**:
Naturally, you are a people person.You are passionate about building relationships, advocating professionaldevelopment, and ensuring those around you are best equipped for achieving results in line with our business objectives. Having already worked in an L&D environment for several years, you will enthusiastically step inor up to a manager level, and confidently drive strategic ambition amongst our people. You will bring expertise that understands our diverse organisation and its varying requirements. You are adaptable and able to stay one step ahead of legislative requirements or industrial changes.

You will also have the following skills and experience:

- Relevant Tertiary qualification
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
- 2-5 years of experience leading a L&D team
- Significant experience in designing and delivering of appropriate professional learning and development programs
- Sound knowledge of the latest Learning & Developments trends, e-learning platforms, and practices, preferably within a not for profit, aged care or healthcare environment
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and at all levels
- Well-developed written, oral communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate to achieve desired learning outcomes

- Full unrestricted South Australia Driver’s Licence
- DHS Child-Related Employment Screening or Working With Children check
- National Police Clearance
- Training: Secure Environments for Children and Young People (or willingness to complete)
- Ability to work outside of normal office hours may be required
- Travel within South Australia
