- We see over 100,000 presentations per year
- We have over 20% paediatric presentations

**_North Canberra Hospital in Bruce_**

NCH is a 256-bed public hospital providing acute and sub-acute services, receiving around 55,000 presentations per year, supporting the ACT and south eastern New South Wales region.

**Opportunities & Support**

As an Emergency SRMO you will be rotated between Canberra Hospital and North Canberra Hospital Emergency Departments. By negotiation, we sometimes also arrange SRMO rotations with the Acute Medical Unit and Obstetrics/Gynae teams in Canberra Hospital. Our Registrar rotation options are extensive should you wish to continue training in Canberra ED.

We have protected SRMO teaching, passionate educators, regular simulation team teaching, wellbeing program, and an ED Research Unit.

Built around a lake and nestled between mountains and rolling hills, we have easy access to national parks, wildlife, hiking trails, bike paths, mountain biking, and water sports. There are great schools, amazing restaurants, and not too much traffic.

Sydney is 3.5 hours away by bus, ski fields are 2.5 hours south, and some of Australia’s best beaches (like Jervis Bay) are 2.5 hours east.
