About the job

Are you an exceptional leader with strong problem solving and people skills? Alcoa’s Kwinana refinery is looking for an experienced Production Superintendent to join the Precipitation Operating Centre (OC).

Working in this integral leadership position, your key responsibility is to monitor, coordinate and supervise the production and assist as required for the planned and unplanned maintenance activities of the OC. You will encourage your OC to align with corporate policies, procedures and accepted professional standards to optimise business stability and production to achieve strategic business goals.

Other responsibilities include:
- Leveraging change through implementing systematic business improvements using Alcoa Business Systems.- Accountability for all day-to-day functions including safety and environment, people, production, maintenance, equipment management- Budgeting and cost control- Training and development of employees- Provide input into and implementation of the strategic plan and direction of the area.

About you

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking someone with:
- Tertiary qualifications in Chemical/Process Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (desirable)- Supervisory experience in a manufacturing or process industry.- Bayer process knowledge with experience working in Precipitation will be highly regarded.- Strong communication skills with proven ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.- Influential leadership skills with the ability to manage change will enable success in this role.- Flexible leadership with experience encouraging and championing a workforce that is diverse.- Business improvement experience will be beneficial.
