The Salvation Army Australia’s Homelessness Stream provides high quality, person centred services to people at risk, and or experiencing homelessness. We support adults and families, including accompanying children with accommodation, case management, outreach support, financial assistance, connection and referral to other specialist services.

About the role
- To lead an effective and high functioning team of Case Managers to deliver person-centred case management responses that assist in providing safe accommodation, sustained tenancy, social inclusion, and support to address immediate crisis needs of clients referred to program.
- To ensure service delivery targets and organisational standards are achieved and funding body requirements are met
- To provide effective line management responsibilities including supervision and performance management
- To actively contribute to The Salvation Army’s Vision, Mission and reflect the Values of the organisation in all aspects of the role

You will successfully

This position leads a team of Case Managers to deliver client centric case management that is recovery based, trauma informed, strengths based, and person centred.

Oversee day to day operations of service delivery including:

- Implementation of service delivery processes and tools
- Input and completion of quarterly State Government reporting requirements, with final sign off from line Manager
- Quality service delivery that meets the needs of clients experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless; for example, service user entry, intake, case management/service delivery planning, and progress and outcomes for clients
- Caseloads are effectively allocated and monitored to ensure effective service delivery and best outcomes for clients
- Provide specialist expertise and leadership to Case Managers to resolve complex case management issues
- Identifying and escalating to Manager/team risks of not meeting targets
- Monitor the program/service risk register, including risk to clients, staff and TSA in service delivery, and provide responses to incidents and manage in accordance with TSA / Government processes and escalate where required
- A small case load may be carried where required in peak periods or during staff absences
- Reviewing data, evaluation and feedback on service delivery with the team
- Assisting with the frontline implementation and review of practice model/processes and implementation of change
- Ensuring service delivery data is recorded and appropriately maintained

This is a full time, permanent position, based in Spring Hill, QLD. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS level 4

You will have
- Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field OR demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous appointments, service and study/development
- Relevant Experience in a Social Service environment including in supervising staff
- A national police record check is required
- QLD Working with Children Check
- Driver’s Licence
- First Aid Certificate
