The Hound Lounge has an exciting job opportunity for those looking to continue their career in the pet industry, and join a close knit and dedicated team.

The Hound Lounge is a busy dog daycare located in Camperdown catering for small and large dogs of all ages in a fast paced and fun filled environment. We provide dog daycare, training as well as a home pick up and drop off service.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: *

- Meeting and greeting dogs and their owners at drop off and pick up times.
- Coordinating and carrying out all day to day office administration duties including reception, answering enquiries, and other duties associated with the day to day running of the Dog Daycare.
- Taking dogs on leash to and from daycare area ensuring to comply with The Hound Lounge Policies and Procedures.
- Take dogs on leash to toilet area at dedicated times throughout the day.
- The supervision, control and management of daycare dogs to ensure safe levels of play and minimising stress levels in playgroup.
- Interaction with dogs in playgroups to provide basic training and daily program of enrichment activities using appropriate toys and tools.
- Ensure client satisfaction through excellent customer service.
- Maintaining a clean and safe workspace and abiding by workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensuring the dogs’ wellbeing and environment are maintained at the highest standard.
- Training new staff where required.
- Other tasks as directed.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Current Driver's License
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Must have an understanding of safety and overall dog care
- A strong understanding of dog body language to ensure a safe environment during play and basic training activities.
- Be passionate about working with dogs.
- Ability to work in a team environment and bring creative, fun ideas to the day.
- Self-motivated, independent worker with a gentle, kind nature when handling dogs.
- Proven ability to follow instructions and learn new things.
- A ‘go-getter’ attitude who can add something exciting to the daycare team.
- An outstanding quality of care and service to our clients.
- Must be reliable
